OFFICIAL: Milan Confirmed Montolivo and Traore's Arrival

Just as it was expected for quite a while, Ac Milan have officially announced the signing of their two new free transfers arrivals, Riccardo Montolivo along with Bakaye Traore.

The latter has actually revealed his departure couple weeks ago, but apparently the Rossoneri are waiting for Montolivo to finish his medical test, which happened last Wednesday, before confirming both players' arrival at Milanello as the club's new summer signing.

Confirmed on Milan's official site, Montolivo is being tied until 30 June 2016, while Traore will have his contract end on June 2012. The news about those two players have been emerging since last January but clear confirmation only arrived right by the end of season when once again the Rossoneri's tactician, Massimiliano Allegri, broke the news to the media during his press conference.

Montolivo arrives from Fiorentina on a Bosman rule after he refused to sign an extension with La Viola since last summer, and it's been reported that during that time, Milan have already apprnach him, before arranging a pre-contract on January. Meanwhile, Traore reportedly being scouted mostly from January and just couple of months before the season end, Milan apparently already sealed the deal, as his contract also ends this summer, providing an easy path for the Italian giant in acquiring the Mali's international service.

Among the two players, Milan fans and many people obviously knew Montolivo more since his days in Fiorentina has been pretty much well known by many clubs, although his performance sort of dip a bit after Cesare Prandelli's departure from La Viola, but the ex-Atalanta youth player's quality has never been doubt. The Rossoneri apparently beat competition from some top clubs such as Bayern Munich, Arsenal and even Manchester United to secure Montolivo's signature, and considering he arrives on free, it can be considered a positive coup for the Red and Black squad.
