Nevertheless, the tactician remain optimistic with everything as he is in direct contact with the club and already have clear ideas of what he wants.

Milan Suffered First Preseason Defeat Against Liverpool

AC Milan picked up their first defeat in preseason after being beaten 2-0 by Liverpool this weekend in ICC tournament. Rossoneri made some changes compared to their previous penalty shoot out win over Bayern Munich and that new setup, notably up front didn't seem too effective, notably up front where head coach Vincenzo Montella tried Luiz Adriano as center forward flanked by M'baye Niang and Suso. Niang was less effective playing wide compared to the time when he was leading the front line against Bayern.

Milan Tricky Start to Their New Serie A Season

AC Milan will have a pretty tough early fixtures in the new Serie A season as they will be facing Napoli on their second match, Lazio in fifth, Fiorentina sixth and Juventus ninth. The Rossoneri's opening fixture itself can be a tricky one as they are playing at home against Torino, which are being coached by Milan's former tactician, Sinijsa Mihajlovic. This tough early games however, could accelerate Rossoneri's transfer process though before the end of August as they surely won't want to have another disappointing season on their hands.

Milan Leaving for US Without Bacca and De Sciglio

In an interesting slight twist, AC Milan squad are heading to their US preseason tour without Carlos Bacca and also Mattia De Sciglio. Notably the bigger news would be regarding Bacca's omission from that called up squad for the states as he has been strongly linked with a potential departure this summer. As for De Sciglio, the player himself is still enjoying his extended holiday following Italy's deep run in Euro 2016 and won't be arriving at Milanello until July 28. From those reasoning, it's very safe for anyone to slightly thinking that the decision to leave out the Colombian international is related with Milan's transfer market.

Starting off their first preseason friendly with a 2-1 win, AC Milan head coach Vincenzo Montella was quite happy with what he saw. Although admitting that his team can and must do better, but the tactician was satisfied in how his players immediately tried to take things they did in  training into play. Obviously there's plenty things that can be worked on, but considering it's their first game after early days of training session, Montella doesn't have much complaint.

Milan Start Preseason With a Win Over Bordeaux

AC Milan's reign under Vincenzo Montella starts off in a positive fashion as Rossoneri picked up a 2-1 win over French side Bordeaux in their first preseason friendly. The Red and Black squad netted all of their goals during the firs 45 minutes through Suso's double. Bordeaux pulled one back in the second half after host of substitution being brought into the tie, killing off any control that Milan build during the first half.

Despite being their first ever preseason game, Rossoneri were keen on introducing their new game plan since kick off and there's glimpse of that possession play Montella is keen on having. Nevertheless, it was never going to be executed perfectly considering they are still at an early phase of training session. Still, Milan actually managed to hold the ball well, but heavy legs along with lack some lack of communication in the final third broke down many attacking plays.

Analyzing AC Milan's Transfer Target for 2016/2017 Season

Rumors regarding AC Milan's potential transfer targets for this summer continue to drag on with media adding up more names as days gone by. However, fans must understand that not all of the names being mentioned in the media are true since aside from random rumors, this naming might also be an attempt done by agents or people related in the transfer market to push players' price or pedigree so they can attract more suitors. Nevertheless, let's try to analyze the potential truth or credibility about the available rumors and grade it by numbers from 1-10:

Milan Looking for A New Color under Vincenzo Montella

AC Milan's decision in appointing Vincenzo Montella as their new head coach is not a surprising thing all for me, as ever since showing strong affection towards Montella's playing style sometime around two-three years back, I somehow knew that he will eventually get the role as Rossoneri boss. Many fans might just figured out that the former Italian international striker was a childhood Red and Black fans with Marco Van Basten as his idol, albeit didn't get the chance to play with Milan as a player, now Il Aeroplanino is set for something much bigger in current Rossoneri future.

Being the coach of AC Milan has become such intriguing role, especially after series of changes which haven't occurred since quite a while during Silvio Berlusconi era. My memories have to go back during 1996-1999 for this merry go round in managerial position happens. Having too many changes certainly bring many uncertainties within the club, especially for the players who have now struggle to find any sort of confidence in their performance. This is why Montella's arrival now turns into such massive moment for Milan, as if he is able to do well, things might finally turn bright for the Rossoneri.
