AC Milan's Midweek Transfer Update (Wednesday, August 11, 2016): Rossoneri Negotiating for Bentacur

There's still more than a week before Italian Serie A finally start its first fixture and AC Milan continue to work their way in the market, especially following recent preliminary agreement which should provide more insurance in terms of funds for Rossoneri. Nevertheless, after Gustavo Gomez's arrival, Milan still haven't confirm any other names, although there's one interesting midfielder who the club are currently negotiating, he is Boca Juniors' talent, Rodrigo Bentacur, who has also been scouted by several teams, including Juvenus who actually have an option for him following their previous deal for selling Carlos Teves to the Argentinian Club.

The Turin giant reportedly need to pay 9.4 million Euro if they want the young midfielder, and it must be done up til April 20, 2017. However, reports claiming that Juventus are not interesting in activating that option as they supposedly giving Rossoneri the go ahead for that deal. Nevertheless, an option doesn't mean that the player automatically leave for Turin, it's just that Boca would allow any negotiation should Juventus pay that certain price. Though reports rather confusing as there's also claim that Bianconeri must match up any offer Milan are willing to make.

Boca seemingly keen with Milan's offer as their vice president admitted that should Milan's offer are over 10 million Euro it will be difficult for the Argentinian side to keep their midfielder, Rumors so far stating that Rossoneri are making an offer around 12 or even 15 million Euro for Bentacur. Moreover, the Red and Black squad are reportedly already placing a personal contract offer for the young midfielder and an answer might be given sometime soon.

Other rumors of potential arrivals:

Mateo Musacchio: The defender remain a strong candidate for Rossoneri, especially since they might still need one more center back for next season despite already signing Gustavo Gomez. Latest report suggesting that Milan might still sign the player this summer

Milan Badelj: Rossoneri reportedly already submitted their offer for Fiorentina and are still waiting for their answer, though so far rumors saying that La Viola are not keen on selling yet. However, it could just be a matter of cash as there are reports stating that Paulo Sosa's side want 15 million for the Croatian while Milan were only offering around 8-10 million Euro.

Potential departures:

The Carlos Bacca's situation remain a mystery, considering West Ham seem to be the only side serious on grabbing him for the money that Milan asked, which is about 30 million Euro. However, latest suggestion stating that Bacca might eventually opting to stay as he likes Vincenzo Montella's style of play. The striker supposedly keen on experiencing European, notably Champions League football considering his age.

Other names that are also rumored to be leaving:

Alessandro Matri: The 31 year old attacker looked set to leave on permanent deal with Sassuolo being named as the strongest candidates in acquiring him. Meanwhile, Bologna are also interested to grab the attacker, but latest news claiming that they might lose out to Eusebio Di Francesco's side.

Keisuke Honda: The Japanese player's agent has held a meeting with Milan directors and rumors claiming he might be leaving this summer since there are still strong interest on him from Premier League side along with Bundesliga teams. Knowing that his contract is expiring soon, Rossoneri might agree to let him leave, unless coach Montella find the Japanese an important option for his playing system.

Obviously there are other names that should also depart soon, such as Jherson Vergara, Rodrigo Ely and some young players, who could go on loan. Luiz Adriano's future still uncertain as well, though Montella could keep him if he likes what he saw from the Brazilian striker.
