AC Milan's Wednesday Transfer Update (August 3, 2016)

Another midweek of transfer update for all AC Milan fans as I have finally find a little bit of time to share some insights and media reports regarding Rossoneri's transfer situation. Nothing much aside from rumors obviously, let's just start with the potential arrival section first.

Potential Arrival:

Mateo Musacchio (Villarreal): Reports from Italian media stating that Milan's latest offer for the defender in a loan with option to buy for 30 million, was rejected by the Spanish club. However, it doesn't really mean much as Villarreal boss was still expecting that things can be solved out in the next few days, just before he had that meeting with Rossoneri director, Adriano Galliani. Although some paper reported the deal may fall through, but in truth there's no such thing in mercato world. However, it's not closing any possibility that Milan might be tempted to check out other options first.

Eduardo Salvio (Benfica): Latest report from Portuguese paper, A Bola, claimed that Rossoneri are interested in the player along with two other names in Portuguese league, William Carvalho and Adrien Silva (both from Sporting). However, it is believe that Salvio could be someone who Milan are keen on prizing up, with the hope of good relationship with Benfica, with the previous dealing involving Bryan Cristante.

Shkodran Mustafi (Valencia): Mustafi's name resurfacing again as potential target should Milan decided to stop pursuing Musacchio. His status remain rather odd, since rumors previously claiming that El Che have offered him to Rossoneri. Reports also stating that he is a target for Arsenal and Chelsea, though once again it seems that there's no official offer being submitted as just yet. Triggering a though that it's another work of the player's agent looking for some bidding war to happen, which notably Valencia won't mind either.

Juan Cuadrado (Chelsea): The latest update coming from England, claiming that Rossoneri are set to start talk regarding Cuadrado with them eyeing a paid loan agreement worth 8.4 million pound with view of making it permanent in an additional 15.1 million pound the coming season. Having, Vincenzo Montella as head coach supposedly could be enough to convince Cuadraro, but will Chelsea boss, Antonio Conte agree to it? he might eventually be checking out from his latest statement saying that he can't guarantee Cuadrado's future.

There are other names being named, just as we reached the month of August plenty speculation will continue to swirl, but I will try to provide the latest and sensible ones.

Potential Departure:

Luiz Adriano: Just as it was expected, the Brazilian could be departing this summer and Portuguese source, A Bola also stating that FC Porto could soon make an eight million Euro offer for the striker. Rossoneri might be tempted to sale as his status remain uncertain under coach Montella since the tactician would prefer a more all around type of forward. However, things could change depending on what will happen to Carlos Bacca.
