Montella Targetting Long Milan Stay, Rossoneri Back for Musachio

Experiencing a rather good season so far with AC Milan, head coach, Vincenzo Montella is eyeing for much longer stay at the San Siro based club. The tactician, who at the end of 2016 won his first title with Milan after lifting Italian Super Cup, stated in his latest interview that he is enjoying himself at Milanello. Albeit his team suffering a slight dip early in the year which puts them sitting seventh in current table, Montella is quite delighted with how his players have shown significant improvement especially in creating strong foundation in their playing style.

Despite being highly sought out by current management and the upcoming new ownership, Montella acknowledge that managing a club, especially Milan is not something easily given. Results remain an important factor for any coach to stay, including himself and knowing it, the tactician is currently just setting his focus in getting his side back in collecting positive results. The upcoming final takeover process which is reportedly looming ever closer also not something that fully occupied Montella as he will only discuss about it and other possibilities when things are officially done.

Signing a two year deal with Rossoneri this summer, Montella has been receiving positive reviews from many as he has managed to create a solid young group and slowly crafting an attractive style of football for his side. Milan might still be sitting seventh for now, but they have shown plenty improvement in terms of playing style, character and can actually consider themselves unfortunate to drop some points earlier this year, since they were not inferior from their opponents. There's still plenty of games left to play though for the Red and Black squad, so they can keep pursuing their target of snatching an European spot.

Meanwhile, talking more about transfer target, latest reports continue to suggest that Milan are set to finally grab their previous summer target Mateo Musacchio from Villarreal. The Argentinian defender, who has been a strong interest of Montella is rumored to be Rossoneri new management's new signing as they are looking to close the deal at 25 million euro plus bonuses. Obviously, the player won't be arriving until next summer, but they are keen on finishing every detail this upcoming March, once that finally take over officially arrived. It remain to be seen will the rumor materialized, but one thing for sure, Milan's interest on the defender is crystal clear and they are seriously looking to snatch him soon.
