Milanello Report: Milan Without Montolivo, Lapadula for First Preseason Friendly

Latest reports from Milanello stating that AC Milan will be missing more players outside of those who participated in Euro 2016 and Copa America for their first pre-season friendly against Bordeaux this upcoming Saturday. According to Italian media, Milan will be flying to France without the likes of Riccardo Montolivo, Keisuke Honda along with two new signings, Lionel Vangioni and Gianluca Lapadula, who are are having physical issues.

It doesn't seem to be anything concerning according to reports, which means those names will most likely join Milan's upcoming preseason tour to the United States as they are participating in the yearly World Club Cups friendly tournament. The physical problems at this stage is quite normal, especially with such sudden high intensity during training after players resting up for their summer break. Nevertheless, a slight disappointment perhaps for Montella as he won't be able to use all of his players for Milan's first friendly fixture.

As for the upcoming game itself, other news claiming that Montella is preparing a 4-3-3 (4-3-2-1) formation with the attacking trident consisting of Luiz Adriano, Giacomo Bonaventura along with M'baye Niang. Those names shouldn't have much communication problems, since they have been playing together since last season. The absence of some players, might create some selection issue, especially since there will be playing time management being done considering it's Milan's first real friendly test for the new season.
