Returning with all the latest rumors and news regarding Rossoneri's transfer, following Villarreal rejection over AC Milan 's proposal to sign Mateo Musacchio, Milan seemingly set their sights in acquiring Paraguay international defender, Gustavo Gomez. The defender reportedly set to have his medical later this Friday after the Red and Black squad agree to pay just over seven million Euro for his service from the player's current club, Lanus in Argentina.

AC Milan suffered their second preseason defeat, this time falling into a 3-1 defeat against Chelsea in the ICC friendly tournament. However, that result doesn't necessary painted the whole picture of that tie as Rossoneri actually played pretty good for at least 70 minutes. That positive outing was praised by Milan head coach, Vincenzo Montella, who admitted that he is happy seeing how his players continue to show progress  in their attempt of playing football with his philosophy. 

Another midweek of transfer update for all AC Milan fans as I have finally find a little bit of time to share some insights and media reports regarding Rossoneri's transfer situation. Nothing much aside from rumors obviously, let's just start with the potential arrival section first.

Rumors about uncertain situation regarding AC Milan transfer situation due to current potential take over deal which is still stalling apparently doesn't give too much concern for Rossoneri head coach, Vincenzo Montella . Speaking to the media right after their friendly defeat against Liverpool, Montella stated that he won't be forced to think about speculative situation as he is focusing on working with what he got for now. Nevertheless, the tactician remain optimistic with everything as he is in direct contact with the club and already have clear ideas of what he wants.

AC Milan picked up their first defeat in preseason after being beaten 2-0 by Liverpool this weekend in ICC tournament. Rossoneri made some changes compared to their previous penalty shoot out win over Bayern Munich and that new setup, notably up front didn't seem too effective, notably up front where head coach Vincenzo Montella tried Luiz Adriano as center forward flanked by M'baye Niang and Suso. Niang was less effective playing wide compared to the time when he was leading the front line against Bayern.

AC Milan picked up another positive result on their preseason friendly as they see off German giant, Bayern Munich 5-3 in penalties after drawing 3-3 during 90 minutes time. After winning 2-1 against Bordeaux in their first friendly game, Milan immediately got themselves a tough encounter which they were able to get through in a positive fashion, despite stating that more improvement is still needed from Vincenzo Montella's men but some good signs can already be seen, notably on the fact that players are looking more confident and comfortable with the ball.

Vincenzo Montella's ball possession setup is indeed something rather new for AC Milan players as many of them never really experience such ball dominant training session even in their previous teams. One of those players who are fascinated with the current approach is Rossoneri's defender, Gabriel Paletta , who admitted that although it's something different from what he normally do in preseason training session, but he is enjoying every minute of it. The Italian international he likes this type of approach that Montealla set for Milan as it's fun an enjoyable.

Menez Another injury issue apparently troubling AC Milan in this early stage of their preseason as Jeremy Menez is confirmed to be leaving their training camp in the US after picking up a calf injury during training session. Rossoneri announced that news on their official website, adding that the Frenchman will be heading back to Milanello for further examination. Menez will be joining the likes of Jose Mauri, Lionel Vangioni along with Gianluca Lapadula who all are currently recovering from their injury problems.

In an interesting slight twist, AC Milan squad are heading to their US preseason tour without Carlos Bacca and also Mattia De Sciglio. Notably the bigger news would be regarding Bacca's omission from that called up squad for the states as he has been strongly linked with a potential departure this summer. As for De Sciglio, the player himself is still enjoying his extended holiday following Italy's deep run in Euro 2016 and won't be arriving at Milanello until July 28. From those reasoning, it's very safe for anyone to slightly thinking that the decision to leave out the Colombian international is related with Milan's transfer market.

AC Milan 's Slovakian international midfielder, Juraj Kucka, finally returned to Milanello last Wednesday, after spending an extended holiday due to his participation in Euro 2016. Soon after getting back into training, Kucka spent some of his time talking to the club's official website sharing some of his views, notably about the chance of working with new tactician Vincenzo Montella. The former Genoa midfielder admitted that he is looking forward to get to know more about Montella's attacking style of football, while hoping that he can further improve under the tactician's reign."I just got back and I am eager to understand Coach Montella's training methods and style of play," Kucka explained.

Several interesting reports regarding AC Milan 's transfer being shared by Italian media, from West Ham United's return in their attempt to sign Carlos Bacca along with Rossoneri's quest in prizing up Juan Cuadrado. Talking about Bacca who has just returned to Milanello and was also named for Milan's preseason tour, an interesting update arrived when West Ham via the club's owner son, David Sullivan confirmed that they are waiting for the striker's answer in the next 48 hours.

Before officially leaving for their US preseason tour, AC Milan have announced their squad for that upcoming ICC matches, which includes Carlos Bacca, Mattia De Sciglio along with Juraj Kucka. Those three players have an extended rest due to their participation in Euro 2016 along with Copa America, but seemingly already arrive or set to arrive tomorrow as they will be leaving on July 22. There's also some absentees, such as Jose Mauri, Cristian Zapata, Gianluca Lapadula along with Lionel Vangioni, all due to injury problems.

A concerning news arrived from AC Milan camp as their new signing, Gianluca Lapadula might not be available for the Rossoneri's upcoming US Tour 2016 as his injury apparently quite serious. Reports from Italian media stating that the former Pescara star picked up an ankle injury and has been working separately from the first team in an attempt to recover from his problems. However, apparently the attacker will be needing more time to recover with prediction claiming he might be available for training with the full squad on August 5, which is right after Milan's final game in the USA. 

There are still not many new things that the media come up with AC Milan 's transfer report especially with previous news stating that everything is under stand-by until the preliminary agreement has finally been signed. That situation received another slight delay, due to the latest changes in the negotiation as potential Milan buyer (Chinese consortium) reportedly keen on completing the 100% take over this month. Despite this new talks, all Italian press believes everything will eventually be done later this month.

A disappointing news arrived from AC Milan camp as during their early stage of preseason, Rossoneri have to lose their young midfielder, Jose Mauri, who picked up an injury on their latest friendly fixture against Bordeaux. Mauri who came on the second half on that weekend match picked up thigh injury which was confirmed by Milan's official site, "The player Jose Mauri suffered a posterior thigh injury to his left leg during the friendly match against Bordeaux", Rossoneri stated in an official statement.

Still in the early days of preseason training, AC Milan new head coach, Vincenzo Montella is setting up a serious work as he is expecting to implement a working method and playing style for the Rossoneri. "Our objectives? We must build a working method and a style of play. And there's the market, of course," Montella stated as quoted on Football-Italia.  Aside from the importance of transfer market, Montella acknowledge that crafting that certain style of play which can please everyone, notable the fans is important as that's what has been missing from Milan recently. Being known as a tactician with clear ideas about his football, it's no surprise that the tactician is setting his focus more on that aspect.

AC Milan 's reign under Vincenzo Montella starts off in a positive fashion as Rossoneri picked up a 2-1 win over French side Bordeaux in their first preseason friendly. The Red and Black squad netted all of their goals during the firs 45 minutes through Suso's double. Bordeaux pulled one back in the second half after host of substitution being brought into the tie, killing off any control that Milan build during the first half. Despite being their first ever preseason game, Rossoneri were keen on introducing their new game plan since kick off and there's glimpse of that possession play Montella is keen on having. Nevertheless, it was never going to be executed perfectly considering they are still at an early phase of training session. Still, Milan actually managed to hold the ball well, but heavy legs along with lack some lack of communication in the final third broke down many attacking plays.

AC Milan have just announced the squad that head coach, Vincenzo Montella set up for their first friendly game against French outfit, Bordeaux next Saturday. Just like previous reports given, several names such as Keisuke Honda, Riccardo Montolivo, Gianluca Lapadula along with Lionel Vangioni won't be flying due to fitness problems. This basically means that Milan are calling up several primavera players into the first team squad, since there are not many available for now, considering there are also other players who are still having an extra holiday following their participation in Euro 2016 and Copa America.
