Lecce v Milan Match Preview: Jashari Out, Leao Still Absent

AC Milan will still be without their star striker, Rafael Leao, for their weekend Serie A clash against Lecce on Friday, as Massimiliano Allegri doesn't want to risk the Portuguese international. Aside from Leao, Milan will also miss their summer signing, Ardon Jashari, who picked up an injury during the Rossoneri's latest training session.

Milan Without Leao and Jashari Against Lecce

The Rossoneri are targeting maximum points on Friday, following their disappointing home defeat against Cremonese last weekend. However, Milan will go to Via del Mare without the presence of important names, notably Leao, who is still recovering from his calf injury, and Jashari.

The Portuguese international is still not 100% fit yet after picking up a calf injury during Milan's Coppa Italia clash against Bari two weeks ago. Milan's boss, Allegr,i is not risking Leao and hoping that the attacker will be ready to go after the upcoming international break.

As for Jashari, the Swiss international was actually tipped to start against Lecce, but unfortunately, he won't be available for that match. According to Allegri, the 23-year-old will be out because he picked up an injury during Milan's morning training session this Thursday.

The tactician revealed that Jashari suffered a knock after clashing with Santiago Gimenez during their latest session. There's no official confirmation yet regarding the severity of his injury, but he will definitely miss next Friday's clash.

According to a report from Italian media (via Milannews), there's a concern that Jashari could suffer a fracture fibula, but there's no official statement just yet. The international break could be a blessing for Milan and the midfielder, as he will have time to recover without missing out on more matches. Certainly, the Rossoneri are hoping that their summer signing won't be out for too long because of the injury.

AC Milan's probable line-up vs Lecce:

Milan (4-3-3): Maignan(g); De Winter, Gabbia, Pavlovic, Estupinan; Modric, Ricci, Fofana; Saelemaekers, Gimenez, Pulisic.
