Milan Ponder Between Vlahovic and Hojlund

AC Milan's search for a new striker reportedly led them to consider two targets, Dusan Vlahovic and Rasmus Hojlund. The Rossoneri are in talks with both players' representatives and are still deciding on which option would be best for them this season.

Milan in Talks With Both Vlahovic and Hojlund

The Rossoneri's transfer moves are far from over this summer as they still have some targets they are keen on acquiring.  In terms of position, Milan have been adamant in stating that they will try to sign at least one more striker this summer, as they want a competition or partner for Santiago Gimenez up front.

Among the potential candidates, multiple reports suggested that it's currently down to two main targets, Juventus' Dusan Vlahovic and Manchester United's attacker, Rasmus Hojlund. Those two players seemingly suit what Milan are looking for, which is a centre forward who can play inside the box and hold up the ball quite well.

However, acquiring one of Vlahovic and Hojlund remains a tricky situation for Milan for different reasons. The Juve striker is available for sale as his contract is running out and the Bianconeri doesn't want to lose him for free next summer. Meanwhile, Hojlund has also been made available by United following the club's success in signing Benjamin Sesko.

Milan Looking for Clarity Regarding Vlahovic's Transfer Fee

Although Juventus are open to letting the Serbian international leave this summer, they are still asking a fee that Milan feels is too steep. The Bianconeri reportedly want around 20 to 25 million euros for Vlahovic, while the Rossoneri won't go that far in terms of paying a transfer fee, due to his contract situation.

There's also a situation about Vlahovic's high salary, but reports claim that the striker would be open to reducing it in favour of Milan. The ex-Fiorentina man is also keen on reuniting with his former coach, Massimiliano Allegri, this summer.

Hojlund Still Hoping to Stay at Man United

As for the Danish international, United are now ready to part ways with him following the imminent arrival of Sesko. The Red Devils are also reportedly open to letting him join Milan for a paid loan and option to buy for around 30 million euros.

However, at the moment, multiple reports, including from Fabrizio Romano, stated that Hojlund is still keen on staying at Old Trafford. He is determined to compete for his place and is not afraid to battle it out with Sesko or Joshua Zirkzee for a starting spot. Still, United might try to persuade him as they do need to let some players leave in this summer transfer window.

At the moment, it looks like Milan's choice for that new centre forward will be between Vlahovic and Sesko. So which one would the Rossoneri eventually pick?
