Pulisic to Miss AC Milan's Final Two Preseason Matches
Christian Pulisic will reportedly miss AC Milan's upcoming two preseason friendlies, against Leeds United on Saturday and Chelsea on Sunday. The USMNT star is currently recovering from an ankle injury he picked up during the Rossoneri's latest preseason match against Liverpool.
Pulisic Out of Milan's Final Preseason Games
The American international has been a key figure for the Red and Black squad ever since signing from Chelsea back in 2023. Pulisic has also been showing positive performance so far during preseason under Massimiliano Allegri's command.
Aside from Leao, Pulisic has also been one of the club's fans' favourite, notably because of his consistent performances during the last two seasons. However, in Milan's upcoming friendly matches, fans won't be able to watch him in action as he won't be there.
According to a report from Sky Italia (via Milannews), Pulisic won't be flying with his teammates to their upcoming games against Leeds United (Saturday) and Chelsea (Sunday). The player is currently still recovering from an ankle injury he picked up during Milan's friendly fixture against Liverpool.
Pulisic's recovery process is going well, but Milan are not keen on taking any risk and prefers to let the 26-year-old rest and continue his recovery. Aside from the American international, Warren Bondo will also miss the Rossoneri's final two friendlies due to the transfer situation.
Bondo is reportedly close to a loan move to Cremoese for this season for regular playing time, which he is unlikely to get at Milan this upcoming season. Another absentee would be Alex Jimenez who apparently not fit to feature in the upcoming two friendlies. Meanwhile, the Rossoneri's last two arrivals, Luka Modric and Ardon Jashari, will both be available for their upcoming friendly matches.
Here is the official list of Milan's called up players for the match against Leeds and Chelsea:
