Milanello Corner

As the Euro 2012 reaching its final stage, many clubs are soon ready to start their new season and some have already set dates for their friendly pre-season matches, including Ac Milan . Up till now, the red and black squad have been confirming several important dates, starting from their raduno (first training session) that starts on July 9, followed with some matches such as the annual Trofeo TIM , a friendly against Schalke along with the anticipated U.S. Tour .

Italia's success in reaching the Euro 2012 final next Sunday raises lots of beliefs not only for Azzurri's fans but partly Ac Milan's tifosi as they eventually witnessed the true potential of their players, mainly new signing, Riccardo Montolivo .  Although ex-Milan star, Andrea Pirlo, is still leading the pack but Montolivo's contribution in Cesare Prandelli's side last two matches have brighten up some of the ex-Fiorentina man's doubters.

Ac Milan 's primavera side advanced into their league competition's semifinal after beating their bitter rival, Juventus youngsters 2-0 in Gubbio on Sunday evening. Goals from Simone Andrea Ganz followed by Mattia Valoti , give Aldo Dolcetti side's a massive opportunity in challenging for this year's Scudetto although another tough match awaits them in the next round as Inter Milan will be Il Rossoneri's opponent.

While the senior team already ended their season, Ac Milan 's youth squad are far from finishing theirs as an important phase is just about to start for them. Rossoneri's primavera team will begin their bid in challenging for the Scudetto, which haven't been won by the fashion capital side in years of their participation. This Sunday Aldo Dolcetti's boys are set to face a tough battle against Juventus' youth squad in the competition's quarter final held in Gubbio.

The latest 2010 World Cup results have put the Italian soccer's credibility at stake as they fail to qualify from the group stage despite their defending champion status. Making things much more worse, the Azzurri fail to win a single game on the group which consist of opponents that on paper are weaker than them. That epic failure has slammed the face of the footballing country's soccer federation, resulting the implementation of some new rules and projects to get more quality local players for the Azzurri's future.

Starting from today, I will try to capture the current transfer movement in this silly season, which already started despite the fact that the market won't be officially opened until July 1. However, some new signings already arrived for the Rossoneri and rumors keeps on coming to provide plenty early excitement along with unnecessary disappointment from Milanisti.

Just as it was expected for quite a while, Ac Milan have officially announced the signing of their two new free transfers arrivals, Riccardo Montolivo along with Bakaye Traore . The latter has actually revealed his departure couple weeks ago, but apparently the Rossoneri are waiting for Montolivo to finish his medical test, which happened last Wednesday, before confirming both players' arrival at Milanello as the club's new summer signing.
